The title “Teaching the Way” was inspired by an earlier sculpture “The Christian Cowboy”. “Teaching the Way” depicts a cowboy father teaching his son how to use a pocketknife to carve a Christian Cross.

After all, in the past it was the father’s job to teach his children how to ride a horse, to work cattle, and all types of chores around the ranch. So it stands to reason that the father teach his children about the important spiritual aspect of life through example. A father should keep this in mind while teaching his children about this world and the Spiritual World that follows.
